Ms. Barbara Howard

For 30 years I have been dedicated to Christian education. My career began in the Northeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists at Westchester Area School in New Rochelle, NY.    It was there in the multi-grade classroom I honed my teaching skills and ultimately became the Head Teacher. It was a significant and meaningful experience

Two years after George E. Peters was established in 1987, I joined the staff to teach the 3rd and 4th Grade classes.
My desire is for my students to become proficient in middle school math, so they will excel in the math content areas at the high school level and beyond.   In addition, I am serving as the Vice Principal with the responsibility of school discipline as well as a greater input into determining school policy and a broader interaction with our G. E. Peters parents.

My work continues to be driven by my commitment to empower our children educationally and spiritually.  I believe that all children can learn and excel as long as the partnership of the home and school is unified in Christ.  God has blessed me throughout my years at George E. Peters.  My hope is that I continue to be a genuine inspiration to my students as I encourage them to be successful in their academic endeavors.
